Exploring Art (3rd-5th)

Art Explorers gives upper elementary students the opportunity to take a deeper dive into art-making, grow their creative thinking skills, and broaden their art-making experiences while learning about art history. Each week we will focus on an art element and medium or technique that is inspired by an artwork or diverse array of artists from around the world. Students will use a variety of media including watercolor, collage, mixed media, printmaking, and sculpture. Through art-making, students will make cross-curricular connections with science, history, math, and language arts. Students can expect to create artworks that take more than one class period to complete and to work collaboratively during the school year to build leadership. All supplies are included.
